who we are
The Ocean Youth Foundation founding members were all inspired by music since we were children … We want the same memories and experiences for your child … and we believe every child deserves the support and resources to unleash those opportunities!
We have been in past situations when our families were struggling financially to provide for us as children .. and when we were not sure we would be able to continue our musical education.
If we had not had committed music educators and parents, our lives may have turned out very differently today. It’s our passion to ensure that every child .. your child … never needs to decide between helping their family pay their next month’s rent or mortgage or deciding whether they can continue their musical education. A musical education is the key to unleashing so many life skills for our children and we believe their current and future needs should NEVER be sacrificed due to financial challenges.
Soulful music making has been proven by extensive scientific research to boost and develop all learning domains of a child from birth. It can help boost cognitive skills, receptive and expressive language skills, spatial awareness, social emotional skills and creativity. Not only does this help your child become the best human possible, there is great value in investing in a musical education for our community. Did you know that a music education is absolutely essential to developing the qualities needed in the world’s future economic needs? The top five qualities listed by the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 highlights the critical skills that will define the workforce of tomorrow. Among these are: analytical thinking, resilience, flexibility, leadership and social influence. We have numurous science backed research that proves how invaluable music education is in not only learning these future skills … they help children to flourish in them!
The Ocean Youth Foundation is dedicated to developing these potential skills of our Treasure Coast youth community both thru musical scholarships and career path funding. We invite you to empower the future needs of our community! Select your valued Benefactor package today which will unleash so much potential over the 2025-2026 year! It will begin with assisting 20 valued music class scholarships in our community in addition to funding the expenses of the Ocean Youth Orchestra which will benefit 25+ members with sheet music, instrument purchases for deserving students and more! You will be invited to celebrate their achievements at upcoming performances and a special Benefactor soiree!
